OZ

During finals week, I'm usually wishing to be anywhere but where I am, sitting on my ass, cramming information that I am bound to forget due to the mere trauma of the experience. (Don't get me wrong, I love most of med school - I just feel that I learn the least during that week when I am cherry-picking facts off of powerpoints that are bound to show up on the exam.)

So I find myself looking at old photos of places I'd rather be.

Not surprisingly, I'd even rather be in a wet marsh in Australia right now, hoping not to be attacked by crocodiles or shredded by some paranoid cassowary.

Australia is odd. Imagine if you woke up one morning among these trees. How likely would you be to believe it, if someone told you that you were on a different planet?
