In the last 24 hours, I've:
1. Watched that Netflix movie that has been sitting on my shelf for two months
2. Gone to the Streets of London Pub with a few friends to watch today's Germany vs Portugual World Cup match and had a beer before noon.
3. Drove down country roads along the Sacramento river with a friend until we discovered a pretty nice swimming hole and cooled off in the river, getting some solid exercise just by trying to swim against the current. (The water is the perfect temperature, by the way: chilly getting in, but not something you have to "get used to". Very refreshing.)
4. Spent the evening at a local cafe, putting a study plan together for the rest of the psych rotation.
5. Walked home at 10pm, when it was still 85 degrees outside, stopping to listen to bands play on the sidewalks surrounding the bustling J St.

I look forward to the day next spring when I will have survived all of the other rotations and will get to begin psychiatry holiday. I think it sounds even easier than the family holiday. Enjoy it :)
hmm... that might explain the rash.
Actually, the water felt great. Very clear, fast moving, and refreshing. One nice thing about Sacramento.
