****quick break from cramming for Thursday's exam****
I just read in the paper that hydrogen cars will soon be near production. This could just be the perfect response to the road destruction and dominance of the SUV. In the past decade, as SUVs have become more popular, not only have they been linked to more accidents overall, but they have been responsible for more fatal accidents, as well. Smaller cars don't stand a chance against them, while the drivers of SUVs seem to be willing to take more risks because they feel "safer". Well, with the hydrogen cars, this is going to change. Hit the little hydrogen car and everyone is going up in a spectacular ball of fire. Will this make everyone drive a bit cautiously? Doubt it. (And they've probably done something about the explosion bit by now as well) ...but it is a funny thought.
