Tomorrow starts my 4th, and probably hardest, rotation: Internal Medicine. My first 30+ hour shift is Friday night and I have one every 5th day for the next month, followed by every 4th day for the month after that. I'm expected to know everything about everything, and be able to compose long, well-written all-inclusive novels about my patients, their health, my medical plan and the current research that supports everything I do for all of them. And this is the field of medicine that I think I'm actually going to go into!
Oh well. I've had a wonderful break, and I'm ready to start (if the vacation were any longer I might AWOL to New Zealand.)
My hideous white coat is ready, as well. As you can see, it is easy to understand why we absolutely despise these ugly, overburdened coats, and why I will be completely slouched over by the time rotations end:

Good luck. I am debating what to load my coat with as we speak. But it's Peds so I'm thinking just the Sanford guide and my PDA. That'll help me build those back muscles for medicine up next.
